The happiest animal on earth!…and mascot for Australia’s favourite Container Cabin, Tiny Home, Studio, Granny Flat, Office, Teenagers Retreat, Backyard Retreat, Country Guest House, or Luxury Retreat. They can also be used as a cabin in the woods, by the beach, on a farm, off grid and more.
Quokka is a family business that offers unique, practical, and fun design solutions for the growing tiny home movement.
Quokka of course!
But seriously, we have a make and model to suit nearly every backyard and budget. All of our cabins are engineered and built to exceed Australian legislation laws, and with the creativity of our in-house interior designer to make them stand out from the rest, along with clever use of space, and modern building materials and finishes to make Quokka the best!
Yes, we have a display model available for viewing by appointment. See us at the Eco Village Currumbin. Nestled next to Pasture and Co café…we highly recommend the Lemon Meringue!
We have 6 floor plan options. The layouts are not customizable but are set to suit the majority of situations, whether it’s a granny flat to place in your backyard or a boutique hotel style cabin for Airbnb on your property.
Colours, fixtures, fittings, and finishes can all be personalised to suit your unique taste and preference, along with a range of other add-ons including designer lighting packages, deck pods, patio roofs, or roof top decks to make the most of your open air living.
Yes, container cabins are considered, in most councils, as a Class 1a building structure, therefore a council permit will be required. We work with you to engage a private certifier to make this a seamless process. This will consist of a full set of drafted plans including a site plan showing the location of the cabin, along with all the relevant forms from specific trades i.e. Engineer, water-proofer, plumber, electrician, etc.
A local builder or owner builder permit is required to site the cabin onto your property.
All services within the cabin are set and ready to go. All you need is the relevant tradesperson to connect them to your property and provide their completion certificates for the certifier.
